Designed for the installation of a 2,000 kW Engine Generator and Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) package, serving the Northport VAMC (30 buildings total). Combined with a new steam line design and replacement, the new Combined Heat and Power (CHP) system greatly improved the efficiency of the existing campus steam system. The design required architectural design, site/civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering. Complete construction documents were produced to include specifications and drawings. Design followed current codes including, but not limited to: International Building Code, National Electrical Code, Steam, Heating Hot Water, and Outside Distribution Systems Design Manual.
